The new section of the skatepark is now open for use. The older part is still there as well including the mini ramp, though the mini is desperate for repairs it is still worth skating. See below for further information.

Paignton Plaza Friends Group Membership
The plan to build Paignton Skatepark is still very much in progress. To move the process on another step we need to create a membership of people who support the building of the park. Being a member will ensure that you are kept informed about what is happening with regards to fundraising, give you an invite to the annual general meeting and in some circumstances a vote in making certain decisions.
The cost to join is a suggested £2 per person, although if you wish to give more then we’ll get the park built that much quicker. (You may even have friends or family who wish to give as well). There will also be a donation box in Vert for any loose change people can afford to give.
If you want to become a member then please fill in the membership form in Vert and pay your money and that’s it. We need to be seen to be making an attempt at raising some money ourselves so the sooner you sign up the better. If anyone has ideas about possible fundraising events then please come and see us in Vert
What's the park like now, and how do I get there?
The skatepark is free and open 24/7 but there is no night lighting. If you are lucky you may be able to park on Hyde Road but be warned that the parking attendants are never far away during peek hours, after 6pm it is fine to park all night. Otherwise the closest place to park is the main Paignton multi-story which you get to via the sea front or Torbay road turn offs.
The Original Skatepark
These pictures below were taken in August 2005 when the park had only just opened. All the ramps are still there to skate now but the mini needs some repairs to the top of the ramp where bmx pegs have worn through.
